ART TEACHING EXPERIENCE                                                                       

Private Classes - Sept. 00 to present.  Classes for adults in Brush Painting, Watercolor, Art in the Garden and Beginning Drawing and Painting

Feather River Adult Art Camp - July 1999, - to present - An annual week long intensive with students of various abilities drawing and painting in an environment of woods, streams and bogs. Currently serves as director of the camp as well as an instructor.

Adult School – Dec. 04 to present - Pleasant Valley Adult School- Classes in Beginning Drawing and Painting for older active adults. Alameda Adult School – Classes in Arts and Crafts for frail and disabled older adults. Piedmont Adult School – Chinese Brush Painting

Chabot Elementary School - November 01 to June 02; a curriculum of art classes once a week for 4th and 5th graders, 

'01 until prsent -  after school classes in drawing and painting.

Art Outreach in the Schools - City of Walnut Creek - Art classes in classrooms to fulfill state academic standards in the Arts.

ORGANIZATIONAL/DIRECTING EXPERIENCE           

 

Oakland Feather River Art Camp for adults

2003 to present  - Art Camp director.  Promote, coordinate, administer and direct a group of 50 to 106 people, including a staff of 6 to 10 instructors.

Open Studios East Bay - at "We the People" - open studio coordinator/director - groups of 16 in 2002 and 2003

San Francisco Artspan - Triton Hotel artist coordinator/director - group of 12 artists in 2002, group of 25 artists in 2003, group of 31 artists in 2004

 

OTHER EXPERIENCE

 

1972 - 1975            Actively photographed dancers in black and white film

1973 - 1977            Collaborated with dancers in performance pieces which included painting as part of the performance. Performed a painting at MOMA

1975 - 1976            Managed a small plant and flower store

1974 - 1975            Designed and painted airbrushed fabric and clothing for specialty consignment

1970 - 1989            Various jobs creating signage, graphics and photographs for small businesses

1979 - 1992            Worked as a contracting draftsperson/designer for engineering firms all over the San Francisco Bay Area

1989 – present            Tai Chi Chuan instructor at a variety of learning venues including numerous communitly centers, private studios, 6 years at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Science and 3 years at the Claremont Hotel Club.
